probably not, it's a selling feature for the s9. wouldn't be a smart marketing strategy

Maybe after a year if you're lucky. Too much money to be made with it as a feature on the S9.

ya...but as usual XDA might find a way...never been a fan of how they do that. doesn't seem fair to the people who buy the latest device's...

My understanding is that it's tied into the front camera hardware on the S9. Actually, I hope they update the hardware to be more like the iPhone X for the Note 10. BUT, it seems to me that someone could create an app to do it with any camera. It looks like a Snapchat filter after the initial image creation. (But I might have misunderstood what I read. I have a Note 8, and haven't seen this feature for myself.)
