S pen not functioning

I tried to connect my S pen so I can use it for other things aside writing with it. like pictures and all. but it's not working

you can go to settings-->select advance feature--> Spen-->spen remote make sure its on if its on and not working, try resetting Spen by clicking 3 dots on top right and follow instruction.

1 thing I don't understand. S pen is connected by default. Only flight mode needs to enable S pen remote manually. Maybe he has 2nd S pen.

To pair extra S Pen
settings-->select advance feature--> Spen--> Use multiple S pen, make sure it is enable.

Using multiple spen.
Inserting own spen on different phone.
In my case spen discharged completely and spen remote didn't detect anymore so I had to reset.

tried still not connecting. does it matter if am not using the Spen that came with the phone?

Spen must be defective. Visit samsung service center nearby get it checked. You can also test your spen from service. Dail *#0*# in dailpad and you will see option to test your spen. Defect spen will fail the test.
Spen can easily be replaced but I would suggest that you buy replacement from Samsung and use same steps mentioned above to pair them.
