I have a Note 20 Ultra with an official Samsung S-View case. Love the case, but for some reason the screen doesn't wake when a Google Messages notification comes in. Works for everything else, such as Samsung Email app, weather, Outlook, etc. Wondering if anyone knows any solutions for this?

Quick follow-up. After some internet sleuthing I discovered that it's something of a known issue. It was recommended on a forum post on XDA Debelopers to use an app such as Glimpse Notification to override the app notification settings. Tried it and it worked like a charm, with Google Message notification now waking my screen while S-View cover is closed.

go in Settings/ Applications/Google message / and check in Notifications if you give the autorisation for Notifications
I put a image, I know it's not Google Message but I just want to show you how it looks like
Also, go in Settings/Notifications and check if Google Message notifications is enable

Thanks for the reply. Yes, notifications are set to allowed from Google Messages.

ok
Now, go in settings/Applications/Google message/ Storage, and clear cache, force stop and restart your device and check again 😀
Like it's the only application who don't work, I will not make you a wipe cache partition but if never..

Tried it and no luck. Seems like a Google Messages problem as it doesn't wake the screen at all on new notifications.

Hi KWG709, besides Cassidy's suggestion, if you goto Settings > Notifications > Google Messages > New Messages
Can you check if "Show as pop up" enabled? If not try enable it. Otherwise, try Cassidy's suggestion.

"Show as pop up" is enabled. Oddly Google Messages is the only app that won't wake the screen at all, regardless of the S-View cover.

Great. Sometimes Samsung and Google not get along. Maybe Moderators can send this Samsung internal to have this fix soon.
