I'm moving, I'm wondering what all you intelligent people think I should get for a smarthub?
I think all my stuff is either zwave or zigbee 👍
All suggestions are very much appreciated!

cheap smart lights https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/merkury-smart-wi-fi-led-bulb-dimmable-white/6000198280658

they also go on sale for 7 bucks. I've have a handful of these for over 2 years an there still going strong :)

Monsieur vapoteur 😤
I need a hand, elbow, knee and foot🤪 (to boot me in the arse bc I can't wrap my head around this 🙈)
Lemme try and smoke your brains out!
It was all seamless before, I could talk to my phone and make things happen, like lights on/off start this and that and I had routines selective things happen at selective times depending on selective perimeters. Like if I pull in the driveway at a certain time, proper lights go on and coffee starts (hopefully if I filled the pot first 🤦♂️)
I think what I'm stuck on is...
If I want routines to happen, I get I can use my phone, but say I'm not here and someone else pulls in driveway and I want the same things to happen without them having access do I need a hub, ugh help me figure this out @vape ✌️🤙👍
Thanks puffy 😉🙃

haha always giving me a good laugh mytech with you're silliness.

you can set up routines in the google home app an it will work anywhere you can also set up phases and it will do things you want it to. example: I say "it's nice to be alive another day" Google turns on my living light an starts my coffee maker followed by the news (news is annoying as of now)

you can also broadcast to your house with a message from your phone to your google home and tell your wife to get in the kitchen haha or creep people out I've screwed with my dad a few times when he was up an I was at work haha.

if you go the route make sure you put 2 step verification on your google account an have a strong **bleep** wifi password.

it works off in your google account an only the people you share your google home set up with can use said features.

Unfortunately I do not have a smart home so I can't really advise you for this.
