Galaxy Note
I just purchased the new MacBook Air M1 and was hoping to back up my Note 10+ to it using Smartswitch. I installed Smartswitch but was unable to do anything, the prompt said I needed to enable something in my security settings, however, there wasn't anything there. Any suggestions?

When you first plug your device into your new Mac are you accepting the prompt on your device to allow it to connect to your Mac?

Hi Joeydude88, When you're using the Mac version of Smart Switch, your Mac should meet the following requirements: 

  • OS version: Mac OS X 10.5 and up
  • CPU: 1.8Hz processor or higher
  • RAM: 512MB
  • Free hard drive space: 512MB (Minimum) 

Please share the error message and make sure you tap "Allow" for the prompts on your smartphone after connecting the device to your Mac. Also, make sure you are using a cable that can support data transfers.
