So I've converted all of my old format of Samsung Notes to the new format. There are 500 in total (plus two I just made today). So can I safely delete the old format? When I convert it says something like "You can no longer open in old format" so does this mean they're THE SAME FILE?? Then if I deletes them, all of them will be gone. Help?

PS: if they're the same noted (after converting) then the system should keep the category name to "old format" as it is confusing to users.

I am keeping my old format for now until Samsung push the new Notes app on Microsoft Stores. But if you have make a valid backup and you sure no other devices need the old format, like my case. Delete old format notes should be fine after converted to new Notes.

I did a test and deleted an old format note that I already converted. It did not delete the new note. But I'm not guaranteeing anything long term :)

Yeah I tried that as well. The number of All Notes don't change but Old Format Notes decreased.

Hi bett3r,
When you delete old format posts, you will not lose any new format notes. Even if you delete the notes they would be in the recycle bin. You can also check my deleting one old format Note and it would be moved to recycle bin.
