I just noticed that when I dial *#06# in phone app, it does nothing. It does not show imei details like it should show. I bought brand new from Samsung Canada website so no carrier has anything to do with it. I'm using freedom mobile. So is it a bug or software issue?

You need to use *#06#* not *#06#. * at the end, it will automatically bring the IMEI details.

Obviously nothing, because the code is *#06#. There is no star at the end.

Both works but you need to use a samsung phone app to access that, not a third-party app like a google Phone app or any other.

I'd say it's a bug because it works on mine also purchased from the Samsung website.

No it's not a bug, i found out that when I disable auto blocker under security and privacy settings and now it works.
