Galaxy SHey all.
Appreciate any help. I am defs not tech-savvy.
Anyways downloaded the latest S21 update on Xmas and ever since I can not access my downloaded files via My Files. Everything else in My Files opens fine.
When I click a file in the download folder, My Files immediately closes and I am returned to the home screen. If I go back to My Files, the downloaded file I tried to access is shown in the 'Recent Files' section but can't be accessed.
HELP!!! I need these files for work and am screwed otherwise.
Cheers!!

Galaxy SGo to Settings > Apps Search for "My Files" Scroll down to Permissions & verify the permissions are Toggled ON. If they are, repeat the previous steps, but scroll to Storage & Clear Both Cache & Data for My Files. Reboot.
It won't delete what you have downloaded.
If you're nervous about this, you could download a different File Explorer, ie: Solid Explorer from the Play Store.

Galaxy SThere's an old, but true expression in Android.. "Unused RAM, is Wasted RAM".
Basically RAM is used to keep your phone running fast. When you Clear the Memory in Ram, your device needs to get the files from Flash Memory (more or less).
Think of a library, the stuff you want access to quickly, is at the front, but if you need something from the archives, it takes longer to get.
