Android 12/One UI 4, no more album art through Bluetooth.

Since I updated my phone, I no longer get any album art from apps, like Spotify and YT Music. It used to work before in my car.

My car is a 2022 Kia Carnival. My 2016 CX-5 do display art, but I believe it's from Gracenote and not the Apps.

Any has this issue?

Hi, Please check if there is any update available for those apps and also perform Wipe cache partition and check it.
1. Power off your phone
2. Press and hold volume up and power key until you are in recovery mode
3. Use volume up and down to navigate
4. Select Wipe Cache Partition
5. Press power key to confirm
6. Click yes
7. Click reboot system

All app have been updated, but will try to clear the cache. Heard some it might be related to AVRCP, some suggest to modify the default 1.5. I tried 1.6 didn't work. I can try 1.4. Is this work it's a workaround, not fix.

Hey @Tony I did what you ask. Same behaviour. I still don't get album art.

Hi, Did you perform Backup and factory reset?

No, performing a factory reset will be the last resort option, and I doubt about this fix. I believe my girlfriend has not yet updated her phone, so I will compare and see if the same phone on a previous OS work

I just tested my girlfriend S20FE. Using the same APP, Youtube Music, she has Album art in the car, not me.

Both phones are on ONE UI 4.0, both Android 12 BUT

Google Play System she is on Nov 1st 2021, I am on Jan 1st 2022

All the rest is the same. Could this be the very reason it's not working?

What is your Google Play system update date? Lately I updated both phone to Feb security update, but one remain to Nov 21 Play and mine was updated to Feb 22 Play update. When I tried for me it was even worse, music stopped while playing
