Secure Folder seems to automatically add apps to it, such as Samsung Internet, Gallery, Camera, etc.

Is there a trick to removing these apps?

I think that the only thing you can do, is to disable them.

Some apps, like ar emoji, I wouldn't use if you paid me, but it gets added automatically.

There should be a way to remove apps from the Secure Folder that you don't want to have there.

The only other thing you can do is Hide them, but they are still installed in the Secure Folder..

These apps can't be disabled either. Tried on my phone and tablet, both on One UI 6.1. User 150 is locked down.

This is the only bloat I haven't been able to remove. Don't know why Samsung forces stuff on its users that they don't want.

These don't even seem to be fully loaded until launched by the user.

Hi RobertZ,

To remove apps from the Secure folder:

  • Go to your apps screen and open the Secure folder.
  • In the Secure Folder, tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
  • Select Edit apps.
  • You'll see a list of apps in the Secure Folder with a minus icon next to them.
  • Tap the minus icon on the apps you want to remove.
  •
  • Confirm the removal when prompted. The app will be removed from the Secure Folder, but it will remain on your device outside the Secure Folder.

Please note that some core apps might not have a minus icon or might not be removable. While these apps are pre-installed in the Secure Folder, you can manage and remove them using the above steps.

Thank you.

Not an option on my S23 Ultra.

There is no Edit apps option.

All these applications are set to be stored in the Secure Folder by default. You may disable them if you are not using them.

Some apps can be disabled, some can be hidden, but not all.

It's difficult to get screen shots of items in the Secure Folder, but..
