My S22 Ultra is not automatically switching to a stronger SSID in my home. The SSIDs have two different names.

One is WiFi6.

I do have the SWITCH TO BETTER WI-FI NETWORKS enabled and I do turn off the screen for at least 1 minute.

No automatic switching occurs.

I have seen a few apps that claim to automatically switch between SSIDs.

I would prefer to not use an app if possible.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance.

A one solution: Forget the slower WiFi connection, and just use WiFi 6.

Ummmm... I will check the speed of the wifi6 at the furthest distance from the router and compare it with the non wifi6 hard wired router. Worth a quick test 😉

Automatic switching is flaky. Works about 10% of the time for me.

Small update: decided to install the Wi-Fi Switcher app by f1widget.com . It works perfectly. If you plan to use it ensure to permit it access to location all of the time.
