I tried to get Samsung Gallery sync to OneDrive working without any luck. I get all the way to the end of "Connect your Samsung and Microsoft Accounts" and then I get a notification "Server error occurred. Try again later."

Nope never did fix it. Reported it to Samsung and they wanted me to collect a lot of diagnostic and debug data, but I haven't got around to it yet. If I ever find a solution I'll post it here.

Hi, I'm having the same issue you are, and I was also thinking it might be because the email addresses for the Microsoft and Samsung accounts are different.

Actually my email addresses are the same for both accounts, but it is not a standard @outlook.com address. Still no luck even though I sent a big file of debugging info to Samsung. I think they have forgotten about it.

I get the same too, I can't get my one drive to sync with my samsung, which is pretty terrible for a brand new phone

I tried this a couple of times but did not work for me unfortunately.

is there nothing that can be done?

  • Sign out of OneDrive.
  • Remove your Samsung Account from your device.
  • Clear Cache for BOTH OneDrive & Samsung Gallery
    ⚠️⚠️ONLY CACHE ⚠️⚠️ NOT Data ⚠️⚠️
  • Boot into Recovery & Wipe Cache.
  • Add your Samsung Account back to your device.
  • Sign into OneDrive and
  • try to Sync your gallery with OneDrive.

You've tried this?

I don't think that it's either a Microsoft, or a Samsung issue.

There's no problem with Syncing my gallery with One Drive. I know that doesn't help your situation, but it does tell me that it's not an error with either app.

I struggled with this for what seemed like forever. I ended up going into the OneDrive app directly and syncing from there.

Hi ,

Just now found a resolution for this server error issue. Below is what  I did. First 3 steps you would have already tried. Check the 4th step.

1. Wiped the One drive cache and gallery cache from apps

2. Signed out of samsung and one drive account

3 Wiped the mobile cache partition from odin mode

4. Restarted the mobile, navigated to gallery and selected sync with one drive and then instead of using the option 'Login with gmail' , I went to the first text box where it says enter email or phone number. I gave my gmail id and then it now started syncing. If it says error like already linked or something. Go to microsoft accounts  -> settings and remove samsung account and try logging in from Gallery one drive sync again. It should work now.
