S23 Ultra fully updated:
From within Messenger, I can share photos from Gallery to my contacts.
However, if I try to share photos directly from Gallery, a permissions warning shows about enabling Camera Roll permissions (image below) ... but there is no specific Camera Roll setting. (This used to work until recently). Any ideas how to fix this?

So frustrating. Wife and I had the same issue. Even though photos and videos were set to allowed. What we did to get it working again: set photos and videos to not allowed. Then go back in and allow photos and videos.

Click here to view all available permissions.

Toggle on the permissions in the 2nd screen shot.

See if that works for you.

I don't see that App Permission screen for Messenger anywhere on my phone. Only the permissions screen I posted and they are all enabled.

Go into settings, then apps. Find you app and select it. Then select permissions. When it shows you the permissions click one the three dots at the top right of the display. That will show you the all permissions page. Look for the photos and videos section.

I figured that the screen shots I included, would have been sufficient. 😉

Guess not..

Thanks I've done that already for both the Messenger app and Gallery app. All the permissions are enabled.
