Galaxy SHi hey-itz_me,
Your Galaxy S24 is likely putting Facebook and WhatsApp into Deep Sleep because of Samsung’s battery optimization settings. Even if you use these apps daily, the system may automatically classify them as “rarely used” or restrict their background activity to save battery.
You can stop Samsung from putting these apps into deep sleep by changing the settings:
-
Open Settings → Battery and device care.
-
Tap Battery → Background usage limits.
-
Go to Deep sleeping apps.
-
Remove Facebook and WhatsApp from the list.
-
Optionally, add them to Never sleeping apps so they always stay active.
If you rely on WhatsApp and Facebook for timely communication, add them to “Never sleeping apps”. This ensures they won’t be restricted, though you may notice slightly faster battery drain.

Galaxy SCheck for excessive battery usage from those apps. It's likely to be your Settings that are automatically putting high battery usage apps to sleep.
You could go to Settings > Apps & Search for these apps, one at a time & Click on them & Scroll down to Battery & Click on Optimized or Unrestricted.. but your battery life will likely suffer.
