I set up my S10+ to auto restart two times per week and it worked fine until the update to UI 2.5.  Clearing cache doesnt fix the problem and I'm really not in mood for a factory reset.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

Hi DTS,

Have you wiped the cache partition of your device? If not, Please try to wipe the cache partition of your device and check.
Follow the below steps:
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up key and Power key.
- When the SAMSUNG Galaxy logo appears release all the keys.
- An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press the Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, and press the Power key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, the Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Power key to restart the device.

Any updates on this? I have friends who all are having the same issue. My friend who just bought a new Note 20 Ultra is also having the same issue. A few of us have done a factory reset, and the phone still does not restart properly like before. I know this started to happen after one of the security updates, but I can't remember which one. Another reason some people aren't noticing their phone isn't restarting properly is because, they think their phone is restarting, because they have to enter their pin like you normally do on a restart. But the phone doesn't do a full restart. Normally, you get the message across your screen, "phone is restarting" then you see other messages like, "one hand operation+ is starting." none of this happens. The phone goes immediately into the home screen. If you look at the uptime in the settings, it still shows that the phone never restarted. This needs to be forwarded as an issue. Thanks.

Yup - same issue here with S10+ since at least October 2020...

So after latest One UI 3 update, I can set auto restart time, and as long as screen is off, S10+ does restart within one hour of set time. However, if phone is connected to charger, it does NOT auto restart. This is not helpful for those who charge device overnight and set auto restart overnight.
