Hi, please try the steps to setup Amazon Alexa with SmartThings and check in notification panel. https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/mobile-devices/galaxy-phone-set-up-and-use-google-assistant-or-am...

I have followed your steps to setup Amazon Alexa with SmartThings and check in notification panel.

The Device Control menu still don't have Alexa option appear in the Apps Option dropdown menu.

How do we add third party app into "Device Control" >"Manager apps" list? Screenshot_20230219_143026_System UI_1000025970_1676845827.jpg

I don't know if you can add Alexa (the app) to Smart Things, but it should work if you choose Alexa as the voice assistant in Smart Things.

I see... Thank you for your experience.

I think it would be much better to have "Device Control" to work with 3rd party apps beyond just SmartThings and Google Home... Because using Devices Control to select SmartThings to run Alexa to activate a Voice Command, it's more than a 3 steps processes... plus voice command is super slow...

I personally not a fan of the alexa app myself. Not able to add Alexa into the Device Control panel apps menu is not a deal breaker for me yet. I think it's a must have feature for the future to allow 3rd party apps to work.

Are you using Samsung's voice engine or Google's?

Google voice works much better for me than Samsung's.

I don't use any Samsung engine such as keyboard, browser, call/text-app, Samsung pay, bixby, etc... But I love Samsung phone ONE UI can make all other 3rd party apps way better when Samsung allows it.

However, I'm not a fan for voice command. So slow... I don't even use Google Assistant. Lol
