Don't wake screen on messages

Is there a way to have edge lighting off and also not wake the screen when I get a text using samsung messages? Seems the only way to turn it off is to completely remove notifications from the lock screen, then you can no longer see texts on the AOD

Hi, please try the steps provided below and check if it works for you.

Open Messages >> settings >> notifications >> new messages >> lock screen >> select dont show notifications.

It will vibrate and sound but won't turn on the screen.

Hi, Tap settings >> Notifications >> and then tap Brief pop-up settings >> Show even while screen is off....turn this feature OFF.
