File Transfer and Cable Charging

Hello good people,

My Samsung Galaxy S9 always cable charges these days though I use the original cable from Samsung. I cannot even transfer file to PC using cable. Whenever its connected, its always cable charging. No Fast charging, and no option for file transfer.

I have tried going to the developer option and select Transfer Files in the default configuration and also selected Fast Charging as charging option. I have also tried starting the phone in safe mood. That does bot work either. Because of this problem,  my phone does not get connected with android auto in my car.

Please provide me a solution. It will be greatly appreciated.

Weird, there should be 4 options when you connect to a computer. Just charge, transfer photos, connect a MIDI device, and transfer files. You want the transfer files option. Try to turn off developer options, see if that helps. When you connect a Samsung phone which is capable to do fast charging to a computer, it will always be cable charging and never fast charging. You might also need to reinstall Samusng USB drivers on your computer. Just search that up.

Dang it, If nothing works, I would call Samsung customer service. I know they are terrible and unreliable, but it's worth a try.

When you connect your phone to your computer - You SHOULD see a "popup" on your phone asking if you want to "Allow" the connection & if it's your computer - the option to "Always from this computer" - That SHOULD solve your problem 😉🕊️

Reboot both the computer & your phone & try again 😉🐧

What files are you trying to transfer - Do you have Samsung's USB Drivers installed on your computer?

I want to transfer all my photos and videos from Gallery.
my computer has USB driver installed.

It's not getting anything other than cable charging. :(
