I feel like this has probably already been suggested at some point but it still hasn't been implemented so I figured I'd try to bump it up a bit more.

I feel that one of the options in the game launcher settings should be to toggle on and off screen timeout. I've recently been playing Pokemon Quest (Pretty fun, highly recommend for those who like similar games or just like Pokemon in general lol) and there is an option to leave it on Auto-Play so it'll just run by itself, however, because I'm not touching the screen while this mode is triggered the screen will turn off based on my device settings. So, in this case and I'm sure many other cases while gaming, there should be the option to disable screen timeout in the quick settings of the game launcher so that you can play without the screen turning off.

If there is a way to accomplish this without manually setting screen timeout to the max time that would also be greatly appreciated for the time being. thanks in advance 😄

EDIT: Screen Burn in (as brought to my attention by @Jonesing) could be an issue with the above suggestion. Rather than having it as a turn off and on instead I'd suggest a quick option in the game launcher for setting the Screen out time with the settings already given to us in our display settings.

too bad Samsung removed the "always on" feature so when your looking at your screen it's always on :(

True! although that might not work out either as in a lot of the time I'm not looking as its auto playing. But in some cases that would be good to still have 😕

i think it will lead to perma poke and not good for you but dev options allows it to stay on while charging. maybe burn pokemon images by using a portable battery.

True, I guess burn in could be an issue. I guess then I would change it for being able to toggle screen timeout time as opposed to just turning it off. That way, in the case that someone did accidentally leave it running, it would turn off after the max that's under our regular settings just a quicker way of toggling the screen out time.

And that's why I post topics as well, to get a good discussion going to better flesh out a solution 😊 Thanks!
