Hello, my phone just updated to UI 7 and it looks and feels disgusting af. I don't like the look of the icons, the widgets, and what they have done to the power button. I don't like the search bar being at the bottom of the screen.

I really don't like this UI. Is there a way to get back to the old UI?

There are no official way to restore to previous version. However, some members in this forum are expert on this subject. I will let them explain the details. Like...reload old firmware and where to get it...etc.

Hi K_User,

We completely understand that design changes can take some time to adjust to, and we’re sorry to hear that this update has impacted your experience negatively.

Unfortunately, once a device is updated, there is no official way to roll back to a previous version of One UI. However, we truly value user feedback, and encourage you to share your thoughts directly through the Samsung Members app: Samsung Members > Support > Send feedback > Suggestions.

Thank you.

It will grow on you. Study up on Goodlock and customization. It can do a million things to make your phone close to the way you want.

Best part of this phone is that you can use 3rd party software to make the phone your own.

It is what it is. More important things in life than phone UI. We make the best of what we have at the moment. We provide constructive input for changes that we would like to see. If after time the changes are not to our liking, and some will not be, as not everyone can have all the changes that they like, we gracefully more on.

Broken for some, but not for everyone. Unfortunately, many people would be complaining if Samsung did not try to update and improve year after year. Some will like improvements and some will not. Sort of like our lot in life.

Very true, but once a company uses your phone to mine all of your data, it becomes a goldmine on steroids. This is the reality for any major phone manufacturers. Money is made from mining your info thru software, not from the sale of the slate. The more updates to the apps, the more chances to fine tune the mining of your personal information.....goldmine.
