I keep getting a pop-up that says...

Faster, richer, higher-quality chat on Wi-Fi or data

To turn on chat features from Google, you agree to the Terms of Service. Google will occasionally verify your number by exchanging your device info with your operator. (SMS charges may apply.) Google's Privacy Policy describes how data is handled. Learn more.

I cannot get it to stop no matter what I do.

It has something to do with Google Chat but I do not have chat installed.

I cleared the cache and history in Google.

I have no idea how to move forward.

I have a S20 Ultra

Hi, Welcome to the Samsung Members Community Canada. I suggest you reach out to Text We Care (932 273) or live chat support with the required information by using the link below and they will let you know with the available options. www.samsung.com/ca/livechat. We are available 24/7.

1. Model

2. IMEI

3. Carrier

4. Last action before popup?

Is the enduser opening an App? Or using web browsing (Chrome or Internet)?

This issue has occurred for a growing number of people.

Perhaps Samsung should Pin a Notice regarding how to address this?

Or Samsung can fix the Message app for such a problem.

Don't know if it's something that Samsung can fix or if it's on Google's end?

But ultimately it IS Samsung's responsibility for devices that have Google Messages as a system app.

Hi, I suggest you to register an Error Report from the Samsung Members app by attaching the system logs.

Open the Samsung Members app>> Menu >> Support >> Send feedback >> Error Report >> Send system log file.

With these logs, our team will check the performance and errors on the device and if there is anything related to the Samsung update that you have installed recently, we would push a fix through an update.
