I was getting 10 hours screen on time back on the March update with QHD+, 120HZ and light performance mode with 40% brightness on my s25 ultra. Ever since updating to the stable One UI 7 with April patches, my battery life has been massively wrecked. I'm lucky to even get 8 hours on a good day but it's mostly 6-7 hours of SOT now with the same usage as before which hasn't changed. I also booted to recovery mode and cleared the cache partition after I updated to make sure it wasn't that but the results remained the same... Samsung please fix this in the upcoming May update.

April Update was installed since the 22nd of April and cache partition was cleared with no improvements.

It's worse for me.

System UI seems to be the culprit.. try going to Settings > Apps & Toggle ON "Show System Apps" and Search for System UI > Click on it & Scroll down to Storage & Clear Cache & Reboot... see if System UI starts behaving?

Ya, the same thing is happening to me here. I've tried everything I can to fix it but my battery went from 8hrs to now just barely 5hrs with light usage.

I hope they fix this in May

Hi Kathrin1,

We are really sorry to hear you're seeing a noticeable drop in battery life as well. It can be frustrating when a device that used to last all day suddenly starts draining much faster, especially with light usage.

Since you've already tried troubleshooting steps and the issue persists, please know that your feedback is valuable and will be shared with our team.

In the meantime, please ensure all apps are updated, and you can also submit an Error Report via the Samsung Members app > Support > Error Reports > Battery category this helps our developers investigate more closely.

We appreciate your patience, and we're hopeful the next update will include performance improvements.

Thank you.

Clearing System UI Cache seems to have done the trick for me.

System UI was using up to around 5% of the Battery before wiping it's cache, down to 0.9%

See if that works for you?

Hi seo219,

We are sorry to hear this issue from you. Yes, as suggested by RedDogRabbit clearing the cache for System UI is a helpful step that can sometimes resolve unusual background behavior after a major update. Here’s how to try this safely:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps

  2. Tap the 3-dot menu > Enable “Show system apps”

  3. Search for System UI

  4. Tap Storage > Clear Cache (do not clear data)

  5. Reboot your device

This may help if System UI is causing higher-than-usual battery drain.

Thank you RedDogRabbit.
