I put out a thread a while ago saying that my s24s hotspot wasn't working. It says connected on both sides. But it keeps disconnecting, and can't even load a website. Data isn't the problem. I already reset the network settings on both my phone and laptop, but the hotspot doesn't even work when I tried to connect to it using my old a53. I know it works, cause I've used his hotspot on his s24 with my laptop. I can't really afford a new phone, and I really need this one to work. How can I fix it?

Which Canadian Carrier are you with?

You mentioned, " I know it works, cause I've used his hotspot on his s24 with my laptop". Is this person with the same Canadian Carrier as you?

You're saying that it shows "connected" on both of your devices, but there is no actual connection.. Did you verify the APN (Access Point Name) with your Carrier, just to make sure it is correct?

Apparently some Carriers may have disabled Mobile HotSpot.. for what reason I have no idea.. it wouldn't make sense to me.

But, check with your Carrier & Verify your APN Settings.

See if that gets you in the right direction?

Hi shane213,

We certainly understand how frustrating that must be for you when your phone’s hotspot isn’t working, especially when you rely on it.

Confirm the APN settings match those provided by your carrier. If not, reset them to default or manually enter the correct details (contact your carrier for accurate APN info).

As adviced by RedDogRabbit, please contact your carrier to ensure hotspot functionality is included in your data plan.

Thank you.
