How do I increase the number of rings on incoming calls?

You can't... but you can download other ringtones that are longer..
A good app for that is zedge...

Incorrect, should be in voicemail settings, when you call your voicemail. if you dont find it on there, you may need to call your carrier and have it adjusted, but it is 100% changeable!

of course, but the phone will ring and ring and ring until it gets answered by voicemail, or he rejects the call.

If you are referring to changing the number of rings before it goes to voicemail, that's setup through the carrier, usually you can use the phone dialer by typing in a certain code, I would call your carrier to find out how to change the length of time before it goes to voicemail.
