Galaxy SIt's actually ip68 (ingress protection), and it means that With an IP68 rating, they are water RESISTANT in fresh water to a maximum depth of 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes, and are protected from dust.
That's water RESISTANT, NOT waterproof!
No idea what cp15 is in relation to Android.

Galaxy SSea water is different, and the ip68 rating refers to fresh water only.
If this happened recently, put the phone in a baggy half full with uncooked, raw rice, ie: not instant rice, but something like basmati rice over night. 🤞🏻

Galaxy SI have seen lots of pros say rice is a waste of time. The alcohol will dry out the water.
The ip68 rating is defeated if there's ant cracks in the back glass or anywhere else or if the rear glass has ever been removed.
Sorry for your trouble.

Galaxy SActually, if someone is going to use alcohol, they should be using isopropyl alcohol and not rubbing alcohol, as rubbing alcohol also contains water. 99% isopropyl alcohol contains virtually nothing else, while rubbing alcohol can contain as much 30% water.
Silica Gel packs are also a good option.
You are correct in saying that if the device has any cracks, it would likely no longer maintain it's ip68 rating & protection. Samsung stores are also in the business of selling new devices, so I'd possibly take the phone to an independent Samsung authorized service center.. for a 2nd opinion.
