I received OTA update and upgraded to android 12 and One UI 4.0 with no issue on my S21 Ultra. But I noticed after the update, the google playstore is not  updating some existing apps and throws an error when I try to do so.

Error it shows is "Can't install (App Name), Try again, if it still doesn't work, see common ways to fix the problem".

I have cleared cache and data on all google play services, but still the same issue.

Apparently this is a common issue that is being experience.

Can you please advise on a fix?

That includes Clearing Cache & Data for the Play Store?

Are the apps that won't update compatible with One UI V4.0 (Android 12)?

You could always Boot into Recovery & Wipe Cache from there.

After every Android version update, I always backup my phone with Smart Switch & Factory Reset.

I've never had any issues after any Android version updates.

Yeah, you shouldn't HAVE to do this, but sometimes you just do.

Yes, i cleared cache and Data from the play store. I also booted into recovery mode and wiped cache.. still same issue.

These are typical apps not updating, but the ones so far are

  • CNN
  • Google Play Services for AR

I was hoping not to factory reset, but a google search also indicates people have had the same issue and factory reset did not fix it.

Hoping there is a fix before having to go that route

I'd posted a screen shot of the recent issues with One UI V4.0 Stable.

Here's a link to the source which may give you some additional information.

There's another link within the above link dedicated to Samsung.

Thanks, how do we get Samsung to acknowledge this issue?

Don't know about getting Samsung to acknowledge any issues, but you could always send them an error report.

Open the Samsung Members app Click on Get Help & Then Click on Error Report.

Never mind, celebrated too early. Now there are new sets of apps that are giving same error. Guess will have to wait for Samsung Jan update.
