Hello everyone,

Sorry for the long message, i have to give you all the context!!!!

I changed my S21 for S23. After transfering my informations from old phone to new one, i reset the old phone.

Now, my facebook account is blocked because i can't remember my password and i reset it for new one and i am trying to connect with the verification code sent by Facebook but impossible to find it on the phone. I have been trying since 2 weeks now. I called Telus and i have no problem to receive text messages only from Facebook. I also tried to receive the verification code from an authentification app but it did not work.

I did everything that i can: tried all passwords i could think about, sent my ID to Facebook several times (keep telling me that they can't identify me), deleted the app and downloaded it again several times, connected from Facebook website, reset network settings, restarted my phone, did the same process with my old phone and another phone and i get the same result!!!

I don't want to create a new Facebook account for many reasons.

Can someone help me please, give some new things or have solutions to resolve my issue.

Thank you in advance.

Cassie.

Sorry you got such trouble. I am in same situation with discord.
I use samsung voice recorder app on phone and record usernames and passwords every time I create or change one. It's easy to search the app too as I have been doing it many years and still find old passwords even after switching many devices.

If you have the same phone number, you should be able to receive a the verification code via text. Then you will be able to reset your password for FB.

It sounds like you're saying that you don't receive / can't find the text verification code from FB?

If the phone number is correct, and you're asking for a TEXT / SMS code & NOT an email verification code, you should be able to see the Text Verification code in the Notification Pull Down Panel.. if I understand you correctly?

I don't receive the verification code sent by text message or authentification app. There 2 steps : a verification code is sending by email and another one by text message or on authentification app. I only have access to the one sent by email.

The verification code sent by email isn't working?

Do you have a different phone number from before?

Are you using Google Messages, or Samsung Messages as the Default Messaging app?

If you have the same phone number, and you are using Samsung's Messages, download Google Messages from the Play Store & set it as your Default Messaging app. Try to get the Verification code via text again.

If you could provide any more details?

ie: Error messages?

Also check to make sure that you are not blocking the number that FB is using to send you the verification code by text.

For example, I have it set to only block High Risk Spam numbers.

You might even want to turn off Spam Bocking just while you are waiting to receive the Text verification code. Again, if you have not changed your phone number.

I did not change my phone number. I have the same since 15 years. I already checked my Blocked numbers and messages and nothing.

Usually there is a "send again" or "didn't receive the verification code" button that you can click on. Did you see that?

Maybe post a screen shot of what you see?
