Every time I open my td bank app it asks for a security code verification. Never had this issue in my s23 ultra. Am I missing something here?

The issue may have arisen due to the usage of a different phone. TD treats this as a security protocol, similar to attempting to use a friend's phone.

To resolve this, please clear the app's cache, force stop it, and then launch it again.

During this process, you will be presented with the option to retain this phone as the primary device.

Nope, that's not it. I use TD & it doesn't matter which device I use to access my TD accounts. 

There's no such thing as a "primary" device, my Finger Print is all I use. 

I would Clear BOTH Cache & Data for the TD app, login with your password, select Text Verification & Toggle ON Biometrics for the TD app.

Didn't work.. cleared cache on td app. Even deleted the app and reinstalled it. Signed in fresh, did the text verification. Closed the app and resigned in, it asked for verification again..

Lol there's a setting in the app itself for the 2FA security. Go under settings then Two-step verification. Change it to Only when TD... I guess that's what you want.1707329418395.jpg

Hi R3DKEY, as this is an app-specific inquiry, you may contact TD's customer service or wait for a solution from other Members. This issue might be related to your TD account's login settings, so you might want to double-check in your app.

I have looked into that already. It is only set to "only when td wants" doesn't change anything.. still asks everyone I close app and re-open the app

I'm not sure about this, because I don't remember if it was happening on my new S23 Ultra.. But, it might be that TD is verifying every time you want to login, because it's a new device?

If this is indeed the case, it should stop after a time. 

I know that some apps, ie: Signal want you to verify your identity via a PIN, fairly frequently initially, but then further apart.

Yeah cause I also still have my s23 ultra. Did the same steps, cleared cache, signed in fresh, and it worked fine, logged out and back in and didn't have to do the 2 step. But I'll gove it a week, I heard people saying it would work after you use it it for a bit? Nothing much I can do but they that I guess haha
