Just got my new S22 last week and the message app started to put new messages at the bottom instead of at the top a couple of days ago. I tried almost every method like turning off and on the automatic time, clear the cache, backup the data and restore and a network reset but same problem. It is the same for the android/samsung message app or the google message app. Anyone experiencing the same problem or have a solution other than a factory reset?

You can try Clearing Cache & Data for BOTH Messaging apps & Reboot. THEN ONLY open Google Messages.. DO NOT open Samsung Messages & let your Carrier repopulate your Messages in Google Messages (it will happen automatically). Give it a few minutes & hopefully the messages will be in the correct order 🤞

Hi shumandy, If you are still having the issue, we suggest you to perform factory reset and check.

Why would you suggest that they do what they said that they don't want to do?

Clearing Cache & Data for the Messaging apps should do it.

I have the same problem.  I have an Samsung of the G series.  I am not resetting to factory settings as it took me quite a bit of effort to install banking software.  I am NOT happy with this...

Switch to Google Messages from the Play & set it as your Default Messaging app.
