Galaxy STry this:
Go to Settings > Apps Search for the Keyboard & Click on it > Scroll down to Storage for the Keyboard & Clear BOTH Cache & Data for the app & Reboot.
Any saved typing data will be removed.
I would think that you have tried a simple Reboot of your device?
You could also try Booting into Recovery & Wiping Cache.
I use SwiftKey Keyboard myself and never had any issues with it.

Galaxy SHi Bart71,
Please try the steps by RedDogRabbit.
Steps to perform Wipe Cache partition:
- Power off your device.
- Hold Volume Up + Power until the Samsung logo appears.
- Navigate using the volume buttons to Wipe Cache Partition and confirm with the power button.
- Reboot the device.
This removes system cache without affecting personal data.
Install a third-party keyboard like SwiftKey or Gboard to check if the issue is specific to Samsung Keyboard.
Thank you.
