How do I disable the extremely loud chime sounds associated with checking my voicemail? They literally hurt my ears.

The problem may be with my service provider. It only occurs when I check my voicemail.

When you receive a Notification that you have a VM, or when you are accessing your VM?

You can check in Settings > Notifications if it is the Notification & change the Notification Sound there.

If it's when you're accessing your VM, you can adjust the System Notification volume down.

I think it is my service provider.

Which Carrier are you with?

I'm with Rogers, and when I check my VM, it's just a recorded voice, quietly saying "Welcome to Rogers Voice Mail, please enter your PIN".

Fido. I press and hold 1 and I get an extremely loud chime and then a much quiter voice that says, 'who's calling please'. The same chime occurs several times before I can get to my messages. I think they intended to be cute but forgot to turn the volume down on their end.
