Hello,

I am using a Galaxy S20 FE

I have my lock screen just set to swipe.

Is it still possible to add the emergency medical info to this screen?

I have the "Show on Lock screen" option turned on in Medical info, but it is not visible.

Hi, please check if you have followed the below steps:

  1. Open Settings on your Samsung Galaxy phone.
  2. Tap “Safety and emergency”.
  3. Tap "Medical info”.
  4. Enter the medical information you wish to make available and tap "Save”.
  5. Tap the switch button to turn on “Show on Lock screen”.

I have the "Show on Lock screen" option turned on in Medical info, but it is not visible.  (Safety and emergency > Medical info > Show on Lock screen and this info is saved.)

@Members UdWNNAR - I also got confused this Medical Info on lock screen at the beginning.

After playing around few days, I was able to figure out what was going on.

So, the requirement is you need to away your home if you set smart unlock or anything unlock your phone. So that your phone will show lockscreen (if you have face unlock, tilt your phone so that it won't unlock when you look at your phone.) Now, below the lockscreen, you should see Emergency Call. Click it, on this page you can see View Medical Info or you can click in green dialer icon. On the bottom left, there is also Medical Info button as well. This is what Samsung means show Medical Info on lockscreen.

So, as a stranger try to touch your phone without password to unlock your phone, they only can click emergency call and your medical info will reveal to them. That's why we never see the medical info because lockscreen always unlock on us.Screenshot_20230306_100415_Call settings_1000024375_1678122359.jpgScreenshot_20230306_095916_Call settings_1000024374_1678121994.jpg

Thanks for that. But no there is nothing like that on my lock screen  and no "Emergency Call" on my lock screen or my number keypad.

Did you set passcode or PIN? You need to have some kind of security. Can't do it without passcode or PIN.

Like I said, it won't show on lockscreen. It is kind of misleading.

I am having the same issue as the commenter above. My security is set to pin only. To facial recognition or Location. Yet no medical info displayed.

If your phone unlock, you won't see it. Maybe ask someone hold your phone and click on phone icon, emergency call should available. You will see medical info there.

Yes!!! Thank you!

I was getting frustrated trying to sort it out. So happy I found your reply.

I was using a 3rd party app that I loved, but Samsung stopped supporting it
