Before the update, I used to use the swipe gestures that were in place of the buttons on my S22. There used to be the three options: buttons, three swipe greture spots and the singular home button gesture. The three swipe gesture was far superior to the other function and it's extremely upsetting that it was removed. There was no reason to remove this feature.

The new gestures option is clunky and not intuitive. I hate the long-swipe to get to the app switcher and the back swipe from either side makes no sense.

The buttons make the most sense, but they are big, and annoying. They take up a bunch of screen real estate and you lose all swipe gesture functionality, like swiping left or right to go between apps.

Im so serious that this needs to be changed back. It makes the phone annoying enough to use that I am seriously considering my next phone not to be a samsung if this isn't fixed.

You can get back your three swipe gesture option with Navstar in the GoodLock app

I don't understand this from OP though. You still have 2 options for gestures. I'm assuming the first option is what OP looking for? This is S24 Ultra running OneUI 6.1.1716848261448.jpg

That option was not available to me. When i updated, after a screen popped up saying they have "simplified navigation" and removed an option. It was only swipe from sides & bottom. I did find the feature in goodlock now though. I have my old gestures back.

Interesting. The 2 swipe options are hidden under the 'more options' when swipe gesture is selected. I never really paid much attention to this as I've always used One hand operation+. Can't go back to basic navigation/swipe gestures.

Would've been great to have GoodLock integrated into Settings. Probably keep under advance tab for those that want to really customize the mobile device more.

Hi NoahM, yes as advised by GG2 please download Good lock application from the Galaxy Store. Once you have Good lock installed, then go to Navstar under the make up tab.

Thank you.

I am with you 💯. The new gestures are awful.
I mostly have issues with app switcher.
This is dumb update
