Galaxy SBoot into Recovery & Wipe Cache.
If you still notice battery drain, backup your device with Smart Switch & Factory Reset.
I, along with others, always Factory Reset after EVERY Android Version Update.

Galaxy SUpdate was probably around 2 Gig, so that explains the "slowness".
What's new in 5.1:
SOME of the differences are device dependent, ie: S22 vs S23
- Improved animations (smoother & faster).
- Camera & Gallery search features improved. Improvements to Photo Editor.
- Additional Battery Widget to allow you to check the battery of your Galaxy Watch from your phone.
- Improved Dynamic Weather Widget.
- Improved Routines.
- Improvements to Split Screen Mode.
Those are the differences more or less.
Hopefully improvements to the battery usage & other small tweaks.
