I am not one to complain, but where is OneUi 7.0? Google devices are already running Andriod 16 Beta, where Samsung devices havent even gotten the stable Andriod 15 release.

One UI 5.0, based on Android 13, was publicly released to devices November, 2022.

One year later, One UI 6.0, based on Android 14, was publicly released to devices November 2023.

If following trends, Samsung should have released One Ui 7.0, based on Andriod 15, in November 2024, and One Ui 8.0 based on Andriod 16, in 2025.

However, we are currently 1 week away from March 2025, with no date to expect for the update. Samsung has promised many cellphones 4 years of OS updates, and for the S23 series, it should look something like this

S23 series, released February 2023, running Andriod 13, One Ui 5.1. The FE series released October 2023, running Andriod 13, One Ui 5.1

2023 was the first major update for the S23 series, where it got Andriod 14, One Ui 6.0 in November 2023

2024 was the second major update for the S23 series, recieving Andriod 14 based One Ui 6.1, however it should have recieved One Ui 7.

In 2025, One Ui 8 should be expected
Based Andriod 16

In 2026, One Ui 9 should be expected
Based Andriod 17

In 2027, One Ui 10 should be expected
But it is unclear if the S23 lineup will recieve this update. As 4 years of OS updates were promised.

However, if Samsung takes their time, and follows through with their previous once a year OS updates, the S23 lineup will not receive One Ui 8 this year, and instead, in 2027, it's last year of OS updates.

One Ui 8.0 may be a very small update from Samsung if they wish to meet the consumer timeline they have followed for many years.

I am excited to see what the future holds for Samsung, and One Ui updates.

Possibly the main reason for the delays this year, A.I.

Last year, Google also delayed it's release of Android 15, and likely for the same reason.

In recent years, Samsung had really improved their OS version updates.. Until Android 15 / One UI m.

Samsung's OS is alot more complicated than Google's vanilla Android version... give them some slack.

It's kinda a marketing tactic samsung spent a lot on the new ui and ai. They need it so that when you search up oneui7, you will only find it on s25 like that it's automatically advertising the s25
