This will be my last Samsung phone after this *** update. Simple tasks are now more difficult. I can't read the battery life icon. I hate beyond words all the black and shading. I'm done with Samsung.

Thats your choice.

After 4 generations of smartphones, supporting end users and myself going through issues i had no idea to initially resolve ... I swear the better and faster the hardware and software gets the more LAZY, Frustrated, and in my interactions the more impatient people have become (technology in general).

With the post above not one show of thought to ask questions if there are workarounds or resolutions (nothing listed for anyone to know). Not a single mention of anything tried.

Im not trying to attack the op here. Im not trying to insult (I listed an observation based on my experiences with a vast range of devices, mobile OS' and people from a very wide range of technical (or none) levels of experiences, employment sectors and experiences of personal and/or corporately managed smartphones.

Imagine the time and struggle one goes through of backing up data, wiping the existing smartphone, buying another model from another oem and selling the former devices and finding out the menu for the same smartphone OS has it own learning curves. issues discovered with likes/dislikes or preferences not possible or not easily discoverable (dependant on many different areas/understanding of, and well patience and curiosity variables that change from the previous device only to come up to the same decision - potentially or seemingly same level only to do this all over again in weeks/months or the same year.

Ps not to mention the expense of repeating this simplistic decision.

When you plugged in your phone to the charger, there used to be a reasonably large circle with the battery percentage in the middle of the screen. Now it's a fairly small icon in the upper right corner, which you really need to look at, in order to see the percentage.

It's not something that really bothers me personally, but I can certainly see why many people aren't a fan of the new notification for the Battery.

Yea they made it more like Google and Apple. https://x.com/theonecid/status/1938945788203168090?t=d0SvbV7A7_mCJnHIVmNy3A&s=19

But we aren't talking about reading battery status from a distance, we're simply comparing one UI 6 and 7 status bar battery indicators.

I don't use Samsung's Battery Icon, I use Battery Widget Reborn for the Battery Icon.

I prefer it to Samsung's.

I'm sure that not everyone will find it to be better than Samsung's, but..it works for me m
