Galaxy SI'm having exactly the same problems with a Galaxy Z Fold 5 which won't connect to either Mazda car I have unless I keep resetting the audio option under bluetooth at which point it will connect.
I've been reading through Pixel comments and those phones seem to have exactly the same issue and there doesn't seem to be a fix yet, I'm wondering if this means having to wait for Google to fix Android then Samsung to implement it or if Samsung can fix it themselves?
Has anyone found a better workaround or quicker way to do it?

Galaxy SWe sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your Galaxy Z Fold 5 when attempting to connect to your Mazda vehicles via Bluetooth. We understand how frustrating it can be to repeatedly reset the audio option in order to establish a connection.
At present, similar reports have been noted across different devices, which suggests this may be related to broader Android compatibility rather than a single device issue. While a permanent fix may require collaboration between Google and Samsung, we recommend the following troubleshooting steps in the meantime:
-
Forget and re-pair the device: On your phone, go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth, select your car’s Bluetooth profile, and tap Forget. Then re-pair the device from scratch.
-
Clear Bluetooth cache and data: Navigate to Settings > Apps > Show system apps > Bluetooth > Storage, and clear cache and data. Restart your device afterward.
-
Update software: Ensure your Galaxy Z Fold 5 is running the latest available software update, as patches for connectivity issues are often included.
-
Check car firmware: Some Mazda infotainment systems require firmware updates. Please check with your dealer or Mazda’s official support site.
-
Toggle audio codecs: In Developer Options, try switching Bluetooth audio codecs (e.g., SBC, AAC, LDAC) to see if stability improves.
-
Safe Mode test: Restart your phone in Safe Mode to rule out third-party apps interfering with Bluetooth.
-
Temporary workaround: As you mentioned, resetting the audio option under Bluetooth remains the most reliable workaround until an official fix is released.
