When I unlock my phone middle of night/morning using the face iris unlock it really increases the brightness of screen to max and hurts eyes. I am fine using just fingerprint at night.
So perhaps there can be option to use say only fingerprint to unlock from 11pm to 7am? This way someone can't "attempt" unlock your phone while you're sleeping too! But bigger issue is brightness for me.
turn off direct unlock screen option in settings > lock screen and security. after this a small swipe on the screen is required which is not too much. you can unlock by directly putting your finger on the sensor, but if you power button you to check time or notifications you might accidentally trigger that screen which is too bright in night. i use it that way.
@Google, I also use iris and fingerprint unlock, when I do check my phone in the middle of the night, I just pick it up and use the fingerprint to unlock while the screen is still off, iris scanner doesn't even have time to turn on.
