Ordered 2:15PM on launch day. Item still stuck in preparing dispatch / awaiting dispatch

I ordered a green 512GB s23u at 215-220PM on launch day. Item still stuck in preparing dispatch. (https://imgur.com/PxpPkmy)

For the past 3 days I have been continually told "its about to be sent out.. ", "Its in packing preparation", "I contacted the shipping team",etc

Am I being lied to? People are laughing at me telling me I should never believe the support team.

I'm just about ready to cancel my order and forget about this phone entirely. I forgot about the pre-order hell I went through for my last samsung phone and thought this would be different.

Edit: To clarify, item went into awaiting dispatch on the 7th

Yes, the shipping date on the Samsung website shows that it can ship out as early as Feb 8th. But it does not say that it's a guarantee.

Also, when I purchased mine, on my order confirmation screen, it changed the shipping date to the 15th of March.

But I was lucky enough to receive my phones yesterday.

We are all excited to get our new devices so I understand the frustration.

But you have to be patient because the official release date is Feb 17th.

So I'd just be patient until that date at the very least. There are still many people who ordered on the 1st and that are still waiting as well.

On the positive note, I highly doubt that it'll drag on like the fiasco last year for the S22 Ultra because a lot of us have already received the device. It got better.

Unfortunately, contacting Samsung support is pointless because from experience, I've learned that they have no clue what's going on in the warehouse where shipments go out.

So one of the support people claimed to me that they called the warehouse team and asked before giving me an answer (they were gone for at least 10 minutes).

I got specifically laughed at by others saying they dont ever do that and they just lied to you to get you off the phone. Is this something in your mind they dont ever do? I want to give people the benefit of the doubt of course.

Honestly, I can't confirm that because I am not sure if they got better or not or if they even implemented new procedures for a better/smoother experience for the customers.

I just know that before, whenever I contacted them, they either always gave me the same general info, completely different info or straight up said they don't know... so I lost trust long time ago lol

I do find them a bit more articulate and thorough in their answers than a few years ago so I am seeing an improvement. Getting them on the phone is much better than the online experience.

So maybe they did get better. That's a relief lol I haven't had the need to get in contact with them yet thankfully so I wouldn't know 😅

But in any case, I can only go with what I know. I too pre-ordered on launch date during their unpacked event and my orders were stuck on "processing" for a while. After it changed to "awaiting dispatch" for about 3-4 days, I got the call from FedEx that my shipment was on the way. At that point, I checked in the Samsung website for my order and noticed it had not even changed. So I'm guessing that they are still slow on updating that.

But you should and probably will receive the call any day now!

Ok lets hope! You're right I havent seen a lot of people being in preparing dispatch for a month or anything like that. 

Based on your understanding, preparing/awaiting dispatch means there is physically a phone and it just needs to be packed up?

Don't ask over chat. It's useless. You re right, the fiasco last time. But there is hope for this round..people are getting theirs and if it's in dispatch it won't be too long now. Hang on a little longer. Hang in there..

The problem was i literally ordered in the first 2 hours after launch and the date is still showing Feb 8

If I need to wait until Mar 19 I will cancel the order and just walk into best buy or the samsung store directly.

I agree with what others are saying about at least waiting another week to see what happens.
