https://9to5google.com/2024/01/18/samsung-gesture-navigation-galaxy-s24-changes/

I just read this article that mentions that Samsung will be removing its navigation option with One UI 6.1, probably to accommodate the Google circle to search feature. I don't see why that would be necessary if it's possible to call up the google assistant by swiping up from the middle and holding for a second. If anyone agrees that these navigation gestures should not be removed, please leave a comment here.

Personally I disagree with the 9 to 5 Google article completely.

Samsung's Navigation Gestures work exceptionally well.. Not at all "half baked".

As for Google's Circle Search, there's any number of ways to have both Samsung's Gestures & Circle Search.. Right off the bat, having a Long Press somewhere in the Gestures "zone" to activate Circle Search is a no brainer.

If I wanted a Pixel, I would have bought a Pixel.

Gesture Hints I could care less about.

3 "button" navigation is antiquated at best.

Physical Nav Buttons were horrible..

Sometimes I really wonder what part of Samsung's anatomy is being used for thought.

Foreal, that was a really wack move. I use the hidden bar for years n they remove it. I just hope they put it back

Yeah I know, but I'm thinking that they could have used a Long Press somewhere on the Nav Bar Gestures area for that. 🤔

My wife and I rely solely on swipe up 3 button navigation. Have done so for many years. Losing this ability will seem like a step backwards.
