Once again Samsung really knows how to wreck your day....

I've had my phone for almost a year, when I put in the original SIM the phone did a reset. Apparently this is by design, and in multiple places Samsung says this will never happen again.

Well it did.  I put on another carrier's SIM in my phone and it factory reset.

How am I supposed to swap a SIM out without losing my data.

I know no one from Samsung will respond because they dont gove a **bleep**.

Hi I have also facing this problem, but I had rooted phone with twrp wich I did backup before putting sim... I also had factory reset but I restored my data with twrp then I found SamKey program and with this tool I changed CSC code to XEO wich gives me no factory reset after I put sim to phone. All my settings and apps are not touched!

Happened to me too

Right at the moment of writing I have been travel abroad and bought a local sim card as I usually do

But once I have inserted the new sim  not as I was familiar from before, the device was asking me to approve a factory reset action

Model number SM-G950F

software version G950FXXUCDUD1
