Airplane mode icon is a light blue color.  I can't connect to the network. Have a circle with a line through it where the network bars should be.

You can try a few things.

  • Reboot & check.
  • Reset your Network Connections ⚠ Know your passwords ⚠️
  • Remove & Reinsert your SIM.

If these suggestions don't work, it's possible that you have a hardware problem, at least that's what I've read.

Visit a Samsung Service center to have your phone checked out.

Hi Reggie69z, I suggest you to follow the suggestions provided by RedDogRabbit. Try to reset your network connection and write back to us if the issue still persists. Thank you for the response, RedDogRabbit.

Airplane mode icon is a light blue color? That means you enabled Airplane mode (Flight mode). Disable it if you want all network connections.

A circle with a line through it where the network bars should be - that means no mobile network. You can try RedDogRabbit suggestion on remove SIM and re-insert SIM. If this is not working, contact your mobile Carrier as mobile network provided by them.

Some of the posts that I read, seemed to suggest that it COULD be an issue with the motherboard?

But obviously if something else works, it's much better.

I have the same problem (S9+) than Reggie69z immediately after the Android update in December 11th. I tried all the suggestions ... total reset ... I think that the problem comme from a wrong upgrade G965WVLS9FUJ1 instead of G965WVTR9FUJ1 for my Videotron carrier. I've followed all the steps for theOdin Samsung Flash Tool but the update failed. A week of trials and errors... Could you help me!
