Reaching out to see if anyone else has had this problem before I escalate this issue to the technical support team.

I have a new-generation Galaxy phone that has been having problems with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for the past two days. Sometimes, they turn off by themselves and I cannot turn them back on. They show a light blue color when I try to enable them, but then they go back to gray after a few seconds. This happens randomly and with no apparent reason. It affects both my Wi-Fi access and Bluetooth. I tried to troubleshoot this problem by following these steps:

1. I checked the advanced settings for both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, but I did not find any app that was interfering with them. I also made sure that the airplane mode was off and that the battery saver mode was not affecting them.

2. I rebooted my phone several times, but the problem persisted. Sometimes, one of them would work after rebooting, but the other one would not. For example, after rebooting my phone yesterday, Bluetooth would work but Wi-Fi would not. I then powered off my phone, waited for about 10 minutes, and powered it back on. Then, Wi-Fi would work and Bluetooth would not.

3. The only way I could fix this was by doing a soft reset, which involves holding the action button and the volume down button at the same time for about 10 seconds. This restored both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functionality, but I am not sure if this is a permanent solution or if the problem will recur. I wonder whether anyone else has experienced this problem with any version of the Galaxy phone. I have Android 13 One UI 5.1 installed on my device. Currently, I am up to date with the July 2023 Samsung Patch and the August 1, 2023 Google Play System Update.

I did not have any issues until now. Thank you for your attention and assistance. I appreciate your help in resolving this issue.

Go to Settings & Search for "Reset".

Select "Reset Network Settings" & Reboot

⚠️You'll need to know your passwords for your WiFi Network & Re-Pair any Bluetooth Devices ⚠️

See if that works for you.

Never happened even once, on my S20 Ultra One UI V5.1.

Reset Network Settings or Backup & Factory Reset.

It's absolutely, definitely NOT a device or software issue! Most likely 3rd party hardware or apps that are the issue.

I use Jabra Buds & a TAG Smart Watch with no issues, ever!

Thank you RedDogRabbit.

Hi, just to confirm are you still facing the issue after performing the  steps as suggested by the RedDogRabbit.

I left out the fact that I did a reset of the network settings prior to the post. I figure it was a given. The problem has returned again.

Nothing is a "given". With all due respect, there have been posts where people complained about Camera focus being blurry on a brand new phone, and they said they tried everything.. but turned out that they hadn't removed the plastic shipping protector from the Camera's lens lol.

If you haven't already, and if it were my device, AND as you mentioned that this started happening recently, I would start with:

  • Backup your device with Smart Switch.
  • Boot into Recovery & Wipe Cache & test.
  • If it's still an issue, Factory Reset.
  • If still occurring, visit a Samsung Service Centre to get it checked out by a tech.

https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/service-center/

Instructions on how to Wipe Cache & Factory Reset:

Wipe Cache

1) Turn off the device.

2) Press and hold the Volume Up key and the spower button.

3) When the Android logo displays, release all keys.

4) Press the Volume down key to navigate and select "Wipe cache partition".

5) Press Power key to select. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Select Reboot System.

6) Press the Power key to restart the device.

Factory Reset

⚠️⚠️BEFORE you Factory Reset, Disable 2-Step Verification ⚠️⚠️

If you forget, it's not the end of the world, you can normally use your device's phone number to verify your identity via text.

Repeat the above steps, but instead of Scrolling down to Wipe Cache, Scroll down to Wipe Data Factory Reset

After a Factory Reset, your device will be as it was when you first received it.

You will need to start at the Welcome Screen.

⚠️You will need to know your Passwords.

One other thing that you could do, Open the Samsung Members app & Click on Support >Phone Diagnostics and run the Diagnostics for WiFi & Bluetooth. See if you get any error messages?

Actually it is a given.

It's listed as a step in the Members troubleshooting guide. So it was completed prior to making the post.

Well, you are definitely one of the rare few people, who READ virtually ANY of the Guides / FAQ or Trouble Shooting steps.. so aside from the very rare occurrence of your reading, I'll stick with my "it's not a given", you being the exception, rather than the rule. 😉

I made an account just to reply to this, I am having the same problem and wiping the cache partition helped me for about 10 minutes then the problem started again, with one or both bluetooth and wifi turning off and sometimes the S pen doesnt connect too... does that mean its app related?
