So basically, my friend's father gave me an S22 Ultra a long time ago, and another friend's brother had bought it, but LTE wasn't working. So they decided to give it to me, and I've had it for a year.

A few days ago, I finally got an LTE package; my father pays until I get a job. Basically, LTE barely works, yet it's a Telus 100GB 5G/5G+ package, unlimited calls and texts Canada, USA, Mexico, $40/month (ah, and the package was the cheapest to have LTE data and a line in the US for my trip). So basically, when I was on the bus with my friend during the trip, he was getting a lot better than me, whereas he's Fido, Canada calls, USA, 4G LTE, 50GB, $60/month, basically a much worse package. I asked ChatGPT a lot of things, and I had to install an app to see the LTE signal, and there, in fact, I saw that I often used 3G/4G while my phone is 5G compatible. (Also, to clarify, the previous owner had escaped the phone, I don't know how, but basically it was broken in the back until I had it repaired.) But as a result, it could be that the antenna was moved or broken during the fall, right? Also, the owner bought it from Telus, so it's probably locked Telus, so I should change the package, right? Well no, because my package is literally Telus, but I really need help, please.
This is my first phone of my life, I got it at 13, I have it, 14 basically, I'm not a spoiled rotten guy who's had phones all his life, proof, it's not even my parents who bought it! (Well yeah, I know, it's a bit spoiled rotten, 100GB LTE, but since my trip is over in not long, I'll change to Fido 50GB, just to clarify.)

Sounds like you should probably take it to a Samsung Service Centre to get it checked out by a tech, or even a Mobile Klinik shop..

As for which Canadian Carrier, your phone isn't locked to any carrier, you can use whatever Canadian Carrier's service you want.

I don't even think that there's any Canadian Carrier that doesn't have LTE.

Hi Malik839,

Yes, as said by RedDogRabbit most phones in Canada have been unlocked by default. Taking it to a Samsung Authorized Service Centre is a good next step. They can run a full diagnostic and tell you if there’s something wrong with the antenna, motherboard, or modem chip which you can’t really test yourself.

Thank you.
