HiYa 👋 Hope y'all are happy & healthy!
Sorry I don't come in with solutions, I have none! I only ever have problems! Today I have 2.. volume & online loading.
I ran the "device care", did the volume up/down routine, and now my volume won't move back up!, and I obviously need that.
I have 4G & LTE, with a usual 2-4 bars, but it's been taking forEVer to load lately. Sometimes it takes so long I just exit in frustration!
I clear my cache regularly, I always empty the Bin in my eMail & have deleted all my duplicate files. If I'm missing something, I don't know what it is!
I need help.. again!
(And what's with my battery?)

When you say your volume doesn't go up, is the physical button broken? Does your website load when it's on Wi-Fi?

pchan0, hi! The button is fine, not broken. The testing for it had me press it up & down, now it does nothing! Checking in settings won't let me move it either. WiFi? That is not available down here at the farm! Now, I have been using my phone a lot lately.. my tv crashed on me after a power outage (?), and I've been consumed with the U.S. politics! Right now, I don't see how I can cut back on my usage!! I will go see about getting a new battery, but this volume problem.. is a big problem!

Hi ajDilligaf,

Thanks for reaching out, and no worries you're absolutely welcome to ask for help anytime.

Your screenshot shows that your device has detected a weakened battery. This is a sign of natural battery aging over time and use.

We recommend to visit a Samsung Authorized Service Center for a battery health check.

https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/service-center/

If your volume is stuck or won’t increase after pressing the buttons, try the following:

  1. Check Volume Settings:

    • Go to Settings > Sounds and vibration > Volume

    • Manually slide each volume bar (media, ringtone, etc.)

  2. Accessibility Settings:

    • Settings > Accessibility > Hearing enhancements

    • Ensure that "Mute all sounds" is turned off

  3. Safe Mode Test:

    • Press and hold the Power button

    • Tap and hold Power off until Safe Mode appears

    • Tap Safe Mode and test volume. If volume works here, a third-party app might be interfering.

Even with good signal strength, mobile data can be slow due to background processes or network issues.

Try these steps:

  • Reset Network Settings: Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings

  • Wipe System Cache:

    • Power off device

    • Press Volume Up + Power to enter Recovery Mode

    • Select Wipe cache partition (This does not delete data)

Let us know how it goes!

Thank you.

Helenna, hi! Thanks so much for your reply. I've taken a screen shot of your instructions and will check everything now. I must tell you tho, the last time it told me I had a battery problem I went to see the Geeks at Best Buy (they've always help me I the past), and they told me my battery was fine.. when it gets hot just don't us it for awhile! ??? Well, I'm definitely going back with the pic of it!

Okay, here are my results..
Mute all sounds -> off.
I have no safe mode? See pic.
I reset network settings.
Power off. Volume up+power = no recovery mode!
Cache partition?.. didn't get there either!
Soooo, I'm at a loss here!lf8U84e8Jm.png1750439744499.jpg1750439744521.jpg
