Please fix your fingerprint biometric. I've been having trouble signing into my phone for quite some time now. The biometric fingerprint sensor doesn't accept my fingerprint anymore.
PLEASE FIX IT ‼️

Hi, Please check that there are no issues regarding your screen protector.

Ensure that the screen protector or the touchscreen on the fingerprint sensor area is not scratched or damaged.

Also we recommend you to perform Wipe cache on your device.

This will not erase personal data on the phone.

It deletes temporary cache files in the phone.

Below are the steps to perform clear cache partition.

1.Turn off the unit.

2.Press and hold the volume up button and press and hold the on/off button. When the Android logo is displayed, release all keys ("Installing system update" is displayed before displaying the Android system recovery menu options).

3.Press the volume down key repeatedly to highlight "wipe cache partition".

4.Press the Power key to select. Press the Volume Down button to highlight "Yes" and press the Power button to select. When the wiping of the cache partition is completed, "Reboot System Now" is highlighted.

5.Press the Power button to reboot the unit.

Once your device has restarted, try to use your fingerprint again.

Go to Settings > Apps Toggle ON "Show System Apps" middle right click "OK" and Search for Biometrics, click on it & Scroll down to Storage & ⚠️ Clear Both Cache & Data for Biometrics and Reboot ⚠️

You'll have to Register your Finger Prints again.

I have the same issue on my S20 FE. Issue started since the last update. I have the One UI 5.1 version 13. I removed my screen protector. Did all the recomended steps and still have the same error. "Press little Longer". Pleass advice.

Try this:

  • Go to Settings > Apps & Click on the 3 Dot Menu middle right > Show System Apps & Search for "Biometrics" > Click on it & Scroll down to Storage > Clear BOTH Cache & Data & Reboot. You'll need to Register your Finger Prints / Face again. See if that works for you.

Open the Samsung Members app & Click on Support > Phone Diagnostics & run the Diagnostics for the Finger Print Scanner (Recognition). See if you get any error messages?

You may need to visit a Samsung Service Centre to get it checked out by a tech if you get any error.
