Since Android upgrade, the phone randomly freezes.  On ANdroid 12 , there was no such bug.

I did a factory reset and I have the same issues.  I have asked other people who have the same phone and it is happening to them as well.

I have the S22 Ultra and i have no such issue with the phone. The update has actually improved my whole experience with the phone. Since you already performed a factory reset, i would try and reboot in safe mode and test it out for a while, maybe one of your apps misbehaving with Android 13.

I would also start fresh after a factory reset, meaning i wouldn't install any apps for a while and see how it goes. I would back every thing up first obviously.

It's factory reset with no apps installed I kept the bare install and it's doing it. My phone is basically empty. Same is happening with people around me. We have all the unlocked north America version directly bought from the samsung store

Everything else aside for the moment, "unlocked North American version directly bought from the Samsung store", is meaningless in Canada.

There's no such thing as a "locked" device in Canada since December 2017.

However, as soon as you insert a Canadian Carrier's SIM, you get that Carrier's features & bloatware.

Other than the Carrier specific add-ons, there is no hardware difference between the Canadian & US devices.

I did a quick search, and yes there's a number of people who are reporting the same issue.

Only other thing that I can think of, is to try Booting into Safe Mode & see if the freezing occurs. If it does or doesn't, get a bug report & send it to Samsung thru the Samsung Members app > Support > Send Feedback > Error Reports.

A couple things you can try:

Check the RAM settings, see what your device is set to, & see if increasing it solves the issue for you.

Boot into Recovery & Wipe Cache AND also Select "Repair Apps".

See if this works for you.

Before it was set to 4G , I had that issues.

Now it's disabled and I have the same issue.

I have the 512g /12g ram version

Since you have already done a factory reset, I assume you have backed up your data. Just take it in to a Samsung Customer Service center and they should replace it for you. Just don't wait until Feb 22nd, when whether you have a valid warranty or not can be called into question.

I got through all this already and told me dit not found any problem. This is software not hardware. There was no freeze prior to Android 13

Try doing a "emergency software recovery" using Smart Switch. It should download a fresh image and flash your phone. Barring that, you can try manually flashing with ODIN.

How can I trigger the emergency recovery ? I tried to do that in the pasf but it says the phone needs to send a code or something. Do you know the process?
