Hello everyone, I have a Galaxy S23 ultra , and I have a wired headphone with 3.5mm jack, and I use samsung adapter to make it work with type-c input.

Everything works fine, but I can't control the volume up and down using the headset buttons!!!

Even the headphones works fine with my other iPhone device.

 It's brand called "beats"

Any suggestions to fix that issue??

 Thanks

I'm having similar issues with my headphones as well.  I can still play and pause, but volume, skip forward and back, as well as fast forward and rewind don't work.

I thought maybe it was the adapter so I bought a new one, but the old one let me skip forward a song, the new one doesn't (and reviews for it said it their headset controls worked on their phones).

I'm using logitech ue 6000 headphones that I've used for years over several different devices.  This is the first phone to not work properly with my headphone controls.

Hopefully they fix that bug with the new software update

Hi Ahmed_Nasr, have you tried with any other wired headphones and facing the same issue?

Hi Helenna, the headphone "beats" works fine with other phones.... but not with Samsung (can't control the volume "

And yes, I have an old AKG from Samsung, and the volume control works fine with S23 ultra.

My question was about why Samsung doesn't support "beats brand" ?

Thanks for your reply 👍

Beats are Apple brand headphones/sets. Much like how you don't get all the features of a Samsung watch paired to an iPhone, same goes for beats to Android phones

Nope, it is the opposite I think.

Apple is not allowing other accessories to work on its devices. But most of the Android are open to use anything.

I mean: does samsung didn’t allow beats headphone to work with samsung??

Or, beats headphone don't support samsung devices?

I've got the same problem and trying to search for solution. Any luck on your end?

I bought dongle with USB C charging port.  I hoped to use some inexpensive earbuds when performing sports since the wire free buds fall out of my ears and are at risk of damage.

I didn't solve it. I use it as it is without volume control
