I just recently got a galaxy s23, been working pretty okay so far but I've one noticed one glaring issue that is hard to ignore: any time I take a selfie picture, wide angle or not, everything will look fine until I open up the photo where the system will then distort my face to such a degree that it's unrecognizable.
Can prove this is happening too as I've taken a screenshot before taking a pic and out it side by side with the picture that I take and the change in my face shape is actually ridiculous

Anyone getting this issue?

Hi, we are sorry to hear about your issue. Please try the below steps and check if it solves your issue.

Open the Camera app and go to Settings and Reset the Camera's settings.

Go to Settings >> Apps and Search for the Camera >> Scroll down to Storage and perform Clear cache and Clear Data for the Camera and then Reboot.

Also, Boot into Recovery mode and perform Wipe Cache partition and check if it fixes the issue.

Below are the steps to perform Wipe cache partition.

1.Turn off the unit.

2.Press and hold the volume up button and press and hold the on/off button. When the Android logo is displayed, release all keys ("Installing system update" is displayed before displaying the Android system recovery menu options).

3.Press the volume down key repeatedly to highlight "wipe cache partition".

4.Press the Power key to select. Press the Volume Down button to highlight "Yes" and press the Power button to select. When the wiping of the cache partition is completed, "Reboot System Now" is highlighted.

5.Press the Power button to reboot the unit.

Post a screen shot of what you see using the selfie camera & a "normal", back camera pic.

They do however say, that "the camera adds 10 Lbs" lol 😂 🤙🏻

Go into your camera app, switch to the front facing camera. Touch the icon that looks like a wand on the top right corner.

Go over to the "face" tab and make sure that it is off on the bottom right. This is the face correction filter and it is on by default. I always always turn this off right away.

Or keep it on and mess with the settings if that floats your boatScreenshot_20230717_024854_Camera.jpgScreenshot_20230717_025011_Camera.jpg

Hi,

I've had this phone since April and have battled this issue since. I think I may have figured it out?

Click on the camera, click on the cog for Settings, click Settings to Keep and then switch on Selfie angle. It says "Keep the angle you last used for the front camera. The camera will no longer switch between normal and wide angles based on the number of people in the Selfie."

Hope this helps!
