Galaxy SHello
I've been hoping an update would fix the issue I have with my S24 but there's been nothing yet so I'm trying to find a solution.
My S24 has intermittent lag. This happens with music playback - streamed and direct from the device, when using instagram (although I can stop it from happening by tapping/scrolling the screen when it starts, it happens when I am typing - the keyboard will be a few letters behind what I have just pressed, playing simple games such as thriving- nothing that should be taxing and when scrolling on web pages.
I've seen a few posts on different sites about this and the suggested solutions haven't worked.
Wondered if samsung are aware and trying to resolve? Is there anything I can do to improve the problem?
Thanks

Galaxy SHi sharkteeth, we are sorry to hear this from you and appreciate your efforts. If you haven't tried to perform Wipe Cache partition on your device, please try Booting into Recovery Wiping Cache partition.
If you wipe your cache partition, it removes any temporary files that may be causing issues with your device, all of your personal files and/or settings will not be affected when you wipe cache partition.
1. Hold the Power button and Volume Down to open the power options where choose the Power off.
2. When the screen goes dark press the Volume Up and Power keys together.
3. Let go of all held buttons when you see the Recovery mode on the screen.
4. Then you should select Wipe cache partition. Use Volume Up to navigate and the Power button to accept it.
5. Choose Yes and press the Power key to confirm that operation.
6. After that select Reboot system now with the Power key."
If nothing works, as a last resort please perform back up and factory data reset your device by following the steps in the given links.

Thank you.

Galaxy SHello,
I follow your instructions but cannot get my phone to go into recovery mode. The phone just turns back on as normal.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Galaxy SHello and thanks for the quick reply.
I will try the first of your suggestions this weekend. But to need to factory reset a brand new device seems a little out of the ordinary. The fact my phone (and many others from what I have seen) is having these issues in the first place is a poor reflection on Samsung. We all purchased the new phone expecting it to function as a brand new phone. Not to need to deal with these issues. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.
Given this is a new device and not functioning as you would expect a brand new device to function, it is faulty at the end of the day, how do i exchange this handset for a new one if clearing the cache partition does not work?
Kind regards
Natalie

Galaxy SHello,
Managed to wipe the cache partition - my phone needed to be connected to another device. This has made no difference.
I am reluctant to factory reset the phone. It is faulty. I am within 6 months of purchase. I shouldn't be trying to fix samsung's faults. It is still within its warranty period. The device is not performing to a standard that would be expected of a new phone.
Please can you tell me how to get the device replaced?

Galaxy STo experience these issues in a new device is infuriating. If i wanted a slow phone i would have stuck with my old one (which was sent to Samsung as a trade in so i cant even use that instead).

Galaxy SIs this fault likely to be resolved with an update or is the device faulty?
